Juan C. Gutierrez, MD, has recently joined the practice as a General, Minimally Invasive/Laparoscopic, and Endoscopic Surgeon.  Dr. Gutierrez received his medical degree from the Albany Medical College in Albany, New York before moving to the South Florida community, where he completed his surgical training at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital.  During his surgical residency, Dr. Gutierrez completed a two-year research Fellowship with the University of Miami Division of Surgical Oncology where he examined trends in the care of adult and pediatric cancer patients and their effects on treatment and prognosis.  He has done extensive research for which he has won many awards and published numerous papers.
